Curzetta Monik’ Austin is a passionate woman with a compelling zeal about being a catalyst for positive change in her surrounding environment and community. Curzetta is intentional about being available to be used as a vessel for service wherever the need may exists.
Curzetta graduated from East High School in Memphis, TN. and received her Bachelors of Art in Education from Crichton College, a Master of Arts in Religion (M.A.R) from Memphis Theological Seminary and a Master of Education (M.ed) from Union University.
Curzetta is an educator, skilled orator, gifted playwright, Poet/Spoken-Word artist, and has served in ministry and worked and volunteered at many diverse organizations using her talents for approximately 25 years.
As a child, Curzetta was diagnosed with a chromosomal disorder called Turner's Syndrome, that has several underlying health and physical implications, which in turn, plagued her with many years of low self-esteem and self worth and lack of confidence.
Consequently, Curzetta has used her story, passion and creative gifts to become a positive catalyst for change and a dynamic youth advocate to address the socio-emotional health of youth and young adults.
Curzetta is the creator and owner of the 501-c3 organization YOUnique Performing Arts and Youth Outreach ,which is designed to address the socio-emotional and holistic well-being of youth and young adults ages 9-19 where they can receive educational training, creative writing tutoring and prep, professional imaging and development and participate evocative works of dramatic expression through workshops and positive presentations that will enable them to utilize their GOD-given gifts and maintain positive direction for their life to further impact change in the communities and ultimately the world.
Over the years, Curzetta has gained varied experience
in working in the Creative/Dramatic Arts in many schools, churches and community organizations and endeavors to continue to spread messages of love, hope and inspiration through her various teaching and creative works and will continue to be a motivational agent of change throughout their lifetime.
